After three years of online editions, Open Source Observability Day leaves the browser tab behind for 2027. We're bringing the conference to Gent for a single in-person day of talks, demos and conversation about the open source tools behind modern observability. Same community, same open spirit — now with coffee breaks you can actually have a conversation in.

For our first in-person edition we've picked a city that's easy to reach and hard to leave: Gent, in the heart of Flanders. Compact, walkable, and full of places to carry the conversation on after the last talk.

Gent-Sint-Pieters is the city's main station, with direct services from Brussels (about 30 minutes) and Antwerp — and the Schoonmeersen campus is a short walk from there.
By air
Brussels Airport (BRU) is the closest hub — trains from the terminal reach Gent in roughly an hour.

Plenty of hotels sit around the historic centre. We'll share a recommended shortlist with ticket holders.

Speakers for 2027 are not announced yet — because we're still taking submissions. If you have a story about tracing, metrics, logs, eBPF, Prometheus or the unglamorous plumbing behind them, we'd love to hear it.
