Ages ago John Vincent tweeted “#monitoringsucks”. He wrote a blogpost documenting what he thought was wrong with monitoring in our industry.
Not that much later Ulf Mansson gave an Ignite in which he documented his newfound love for monitoring #monitoringlove Since then a lot has changed,
but did we really fix all the problems John Vincent wrote about. And what’s the impact on o11y on all of this ?
In this talk we’ll dig into that question and we’ll figure out if we need to fix monitoring euh Observability again, or if we still love it.
